JOHN J. TRESTER, Secretary and Treasurer of the well-known firm of A. Trester Sons' Company, was born in Sheboygan September 8, 1859.  From an early age he was employed in his father's store, when not attending the city schools, in which he received his education.  His entire business experience has been in the line of merchant-tailoring.  In 1888 he became a member of the firm of A. Trester & Sons, and upon the incorporation of the A. Trester Sons' Company, in 1890, was made Treasurer.  In January, 1891, he also became Secretary.

His marriage to Miss Anna, a daughter of Caspar Pfister, deceased, was celebrated in Sheboygan November 25, 1885.  Two children have been born to the young couple, Leona and Robert.  Both husband and wife are members of the Catholic Church, the former being also a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.

Mr. Trester is a Democrat in politics, though he has never taken an active part in public affairs.  His entire life has been spent in the Chair City, where he is well known as a business man and a valued citizen.
