Welcome to Sheboyganhistory.com. Take a look at What's New in our web. Here you can find out some things about your Sheboygan genealogy and Sheboygan Area ancestors. If you are looking for someone who you think might have graduated from a high school in the Sheboygan Area, you are in the right place. I try to put stuff on here that I think helps make the history of Sheboygan come alive. As we come across old Sheboygan area high school yearbooks, we will be scanning each page that has the seniors on them, and cross-referencing the names to the page and year that that name is associated with. At the top of the page are some links. They are pretty self-explanatory. The "Students" button will take you to a section where you can search for individuals who have graduated from Sheboygan area schools.. The "Yearbooks" button will take you to a section where you can look at area High School Yearbook senior pictures from the past. The "Telephone Books" button will take you to the listings for a 1940 Sheboygan Telephone Book. In the "Pictures" section, I have also added some nice old photos and postcards of Sheboygan. The "History " link has some excerpts from Sheboygan area history books and pamphlets. This section also has a nice series of scans of the 1953 Sheboygan Centennial Celebration Souvenir Program, and a booklet produced by the Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce in 1976. Lots of good history of Sheboygan, and a lot of nice pictures from the 1940's thru the 1970's. The "Local Biographies" button has, for the most part, biographies from the 1894 book titled: "Portrait and Biographical Record of Sheboygan County, Wis." This book is a great source of information on the prominent citizens of Sheboygan at the turn of the century. And last, but not least, is a "Local Links" button to take you to other interesting and useful Sheboygan area websites. www.yearbook-usa.com is the place to go if you are looking for old yearbooks, either as gifts, or to replace ones that are missing. There are also old postcards, other books, and collectibles.
